Lightfall is our made-to-measure glass pivot door system — a single pane of glass in a slim aluminum frame, turning on hardware hidden entirely inside the door. Built, glazed, and installed by Serene Glass.

One tall pivoting panel in a slim aluminum frame. The signature Lightfall configuration — a single sheet of glass that turns on a concealed pivot instead of swinging on hinges.

A matched pair that opens from the center to create a wide, uninterrupted threshold. Ideal between a living area and a study, dining room, or primary suite.

A pivot door built into a fixed glass partition, so the opening and the wall read as one continuous plane of glass. Runs up to 22 feet (6750mm) wide in a single assembly.

Several pivoting panels in a row that close into a glass wall and open to disappear against it. Built for offices, conference rooms, and flexible commercial spaces.

A warm, darkened metal frame that reads softer than black against wood, brass, and natural stone. Anodized through the aluminum, so it will not chip or peel.

A brushed gold frame for interiors where the door is meant to be the focal point. Pairs with unlacquered brass and warm-metal fixtures.

Black, bronze, gold, silver, and stainless steel — anodized into the aluminum rather than painted on. We bring physical samples to your measurement visit so you can see them in your own light.
Because the frame is built around your panel, a Lightfall door can be glazed in our fabric-laminated glass — linen, silk or mesh bonded permanently between two lites. Privacy and texture that frosting cannot touch.
Explore Fabric Glass →A pivot door turns on a vertical axis set into the floor and head of the frame, rather than swinging on hinges fixed to one edge. Because the weight is carried on that axis instead of hanging off the side, a pivot door can be far larger and heavier than a hinged one while still opening with one hand. It is the reason you see pivot doors used for dramatic, floor-to-ceiling entrances.
Pricing depends on the size of the opening, the glass specification, the frame finish, and whether you are adding fixed partition panels. Because every system is made to measure, we quote each project individually rather than publishing a fixed price. Call (832) 953-5251 or request a quote and we will give you a real number for your opening.
The Lightfall frame is made to measure from 5′11″ to 9′9″ in height (1800–2975mm). A single door with a fixed partition can run up to roughly 22 feet (6750mm) wide as one continuous assembly. If your opening falls outside that range, we will tell you at the measurement visit rather than after you have committed.
No. The pivot mechanism sits inside the door frame itself, so there is no floor spring to cut into your slab and no overhead closer on the wall. This also means no threshold strip across the floor — the finished floor runs continuously underneath the door.
Yes, and it is one of the most popular commercial applications. Multiple pivoting panels can be set in a row so they close into a continuous glass wall and open to stack flat against it. We install these in Houston offices, conference rooms, studios, and showrooms where a space needs to be divided some of the time and open the rest.
The frame is fabricated around your glass rather than the glass being cut to fit a stock frame, so the specification is genuinely yours to choose. We build in 1/4″ (6mm) today, with 3/8″ (10mm) arriving in 2027. Clear is standard; low-iron glass removes the faint green cast for a truly colorless panel, and frosted, reeded, or tinted glass is available where you want privacy or texture. Laminated glass is also supported within the system size limits — which is what allows a Lightfall door to be glazed in our fabric-laminated glass.
Yes, and it is the configuration we are most excited about. Fabric-laminated glass bonds real textile — linen, silk, mesh — permanently between two lites of glass, giving you privacy, texture and warmth that frosting cannot. Because the Lightfall frame is fabricated around the glass, a laminated panel works as long as it falls inside the system size limits. We make the fabric glass and we make the door, so the whole thing comes from one shop.
Each system is made to order, so plan on roughly 10 to 12 weeks from the day measurements are approved. The frame is produced in Europe in up to eight weeks, then two to three weeks in transit. We fabricate your glass here in Houston during that window rather than after it, so the panel is finished and waiting when the frame lands and installation follows shortly after. We confirm dates in writing with your quote, and if your deadline is not realistic we will tell you before you commit rather than after.
Yes. Serene Glass installs across Greater Houston including The Woodlands, Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, Humble, Pasadena, Conroe, and Cypress, with no travel surcharge inside the metro.
Every Lightfall door is measured, built, and installed for one specific opening. Tell us about yours and we'll quote it properly.
