Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly, through the parts of the site you choose to use:

• Contact & quote requests — name, email, phone number, and project details you submit through our contact form or the Design Your Shower configurator.
• Accounts — email address and password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your raw password), plus any name and phone number you add to your profile.
• Orders — your order contents, shipping/contact email, and order status. Payment card details are never sent to or stored by us — see Payment Processing below.
• Site usage — standard technical data (browser type, device, pages visited, approximate location from IP) collected automatically through Google Analytics.

How We Use It

• To respond to quote requests and contact form submissions
• To process and fulfill orders placed through the Shop
• To create and maintain your account, including showing your order history and any contractor pricing you're eligible for
• To send transactional emails — order confirmations, quote responses, account confirmations
• To improve the site and understand which pages and services people are actually looking for

We do not use your information for automated advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Payment Processing

All payments on this site are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. Your card number, expiration date, and CVV are entered directly into Stripe's secure checkout — they pass through Stripe's systems, not ours, and Serene Glass never stores or has access to your full card details. Stripe's own privacy practices are described at stripe.com/privacy.

Sharing Your Information

We share information only with the service providers that make this site work, and only as needed for them to do that job:

• Stripe — to process payments
• Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores account, order, and quote-request data on our behalf
• Google Workspace — used to send transactional email (quote responses, order confirmations, account confirmations) from our business email

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Serene Glass, our customers, or others.

Cookies & Local Storage

If you create an account, your browser stores a small session token (via local storage, not a tracking cookie) so you stay signed in. We use Google Analytics, which sets first-party cookies to count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the site. It does not tell us who you are, and we don't run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Data Storage & Security

Account, order, and quote data is stored with Supabase, using row-level access controls so that customers can only see their own data and only Serene Glass administrators can see everything. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.

Data Retention

We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after, to meet standard business, tax, and warranty-tracking needs. Contact form and quote-request submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry. You can request deletion at any time — see Your Rights & Choices.

Your Rights & Choices

You can:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Ask us to delete your account and associated personal data
• Opt out of any non-transactional email we send

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults seeking glass products and installation services. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
